Success at the Winter Park XC Superloop
Posted by Scott on 30th June , 2009Saturday was the second race of the Winter Park Mountain Bike Series. The Superloop was 18 miles of technical single track and fast fire roads. Representing Curve I did the Pro race with a great field of some 50 top racers including Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski Colin Cares Colby Pierce and Heather Irmiger. With such a good field and this being my first MTB race of the season I took things conservative at the start but soon found myself near the front of the field. Much to my surprise I came across the line in 3rd place with with JHK and Colin Cares besting me by several minutes.
It was a fun event and really great to see so many racers in Curve gear. The Velonews guys were rocking their new custom socks and teams like MORF Racing and Bikeparts.com were out representing several categories. Great to see so many enthusiastic people out this weekend and hope to see even more people out for round three on July 11th.
